Terms of use
newold.games is a free, non-commercial hobby project run by Jorden Chamid in the Netherlands. Using it means accepting the following.
What this site is
A catalogue of classic games and suggestions for modern ways to play something similar. It sells nothing and hosts no games. Every alternative links out to the publisher's or a storefront's own page, and any purchase is a transaction between you and them.
Accuracy
Prices, platform availability and Steam Deck ratings are collected by hand and go out of date. They are offered in good faith and without warranty. Always check the store page before buying anything. See how this site is made for where the data comes from and how often it is checked. If you spot something wrong, please say so.
Accounts and contributions
You may create one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, so pick a decent password. When you submit an alternative or cast a vote:
- Submit only genuine, legally available games. No piracy, no ROM sites, no malware, no self-promotion dressed up as a recommendation.
- You keep ownership of anything you write, and you grant permission to display and edit it on this site.
- One vote per classic and one per alternative. Do not try to game the rankings with multiple accounts.
- Submissions can be edited or removed without notice, and accounts that abuse the features can be closed.
Trade marks and images
Game titles, logos and screenshots belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and commentary. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any publisher or platform holder. If you own rights to something used here and want it removed, email info@corbata.nl and it will be taken down.
Liability
The site is provided as-is. It is a hobby project run by one person and it may be wrong, incomplete or unavailable at any time. Nothing here is professional advice, and no liability is accepted for any loss arising from relying on it or from anything on a site linked from here.
Changes
These terms may change; the date below always shows the current version. Dutch law applies.
