Games like Maniac Mansion on iPhone
3 of the 4 modern alternatives to Maniac Mansion (1987) run on iPhone. The cheapest is The Excavation of Hob's Barrow at € 12,49. 2 are made by independent developers.
The iPhone is a good home for arcade, puzzle and point-and-click classics, and a poor one for anything needing precise controls. Official mobile ports are common but delisting is a real risk: publishers remove old apps regularly, so a game available today may vanish. Controller support has improved a lot.
Prices, platform availability and Steam Deck compatibility can change at any time. Always check the store page before buying.
