Halo 3
Halo 3 is a 2007 first-person shooter developed by Bungie, the epic conclusion to the original science-fiction trilogy that defined console shooters. Players once again take up arms as the Master Chief in humanity's desperate final stand against the alien Covenant and the parasitic Flood.
The game delivered a cinematic campaign playable in four-player cooperative mode online, along with a hugely popular competitive multiplayer suite, but its lasting legacy came from powerful new creation tools. The Forge editor let players rearrange objects and build custom maps, while a saved-films theater mode allowed matches to be replayed, paused, and captured as screenshots or clips, fueling an enormous community of creators for years. Vehicles, equipment like the bubble shield, and large-scale battles rounded out the sandbox.
Halo 3 was a cultural and commercial phenomenon that set launch-day sales records on its console. It was later included in a remastered collection, letting new players experience the finale on modern hardware.
