Redneck Rampage is a 1997 first-person shooter developed by Xatrix Entertainment and published by Interplay on 3D Realms' Build engine. Set in the fictional rural town of Hickston, Arkansas, it follows brothers Leonard and Bubba as they battle an alien invasion that has been abducting and mutating the local livestock and townsfolk, chiefly to rescue their prize pig, Bessie.
The game embraced a comedic, self-aware redneck theme, arming players with unusual weapons such as a crowbar, a powder keg, and an alien ray gun, and stocking its levels with offbeat items like moonshine, which made the screen wobble, and pork rinds and Cokes that restored health. Its barnyard humor, hillbilly enemies, and a country-and-punk soundtrack set it apart from the more serious shooters built on the same engine, earning it a niche cult following.
