Sacred is a 2004 role-playing game developed by Ascaron Entertainment, an action role-playing adventure set in the sprawling fantasy realm of Ancaria. Players choose from several distinct hero classes, including the Gladiator, Seraphim, and Battle Mage, and roam a large open world filled with quests, monsters, and loot.

The game stood out for its enormous seamless map, one of the largest in the genre at release, which encouraged free exploration rather than linear progression.
