Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is a 2005 action game developed by Capcom, a prequel following a younger, cockier Dante as he confronts his twin brother Vergil and ascends a demon-infested tower called Temen-ni-gru. It reinvigorated a series that had stumbled with its second entry.
The game built its identity around stylish, high-speed combat, letting players swap between multiple combat styles, such as Swordmaster and Gunslinger, and a growing armory of weapons mid-fight to chain elaborate combos rated by a flamboyant on-screen style meter.
