Street Fighter Alpha 3
Also known as Street Fighter Zero 3, SFA3
Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a 1998 fighting game developed by Capcom, the culmination of the Alpha sub-series that bridged the original Street Fighter and Street Fighter II eras. It featured a large roster of more than thirty characters drawn from across the franchise's history, including returning favorites and revived fighters like Cody and Guy.
Its defining feature was the trio of selectable fighting styles, called Isms (A-ism, X-ism and V-ism), which changed a character's super meter, mobility and custom-combo options, giving the game remarkable depth and flexibility. Rich 2D sprite art, a lengthy single-player World Tour mode in home versions that let you level up characters, and finely tuned mechanics made it a fan favorite.
Widely considered one of the best entries in the Alpha line and a competitive mainstay, Street Fighter Alpha 3 has been included in modern Capcom fighting collections, making it readily accessible to players today.
