Tekken 3
Tekken 3 is a 1997 fighting game developed by Namco, first appearing in arcades before a landmark PlayStation port. Widely regarded as one of the greatest 3D fighters ever made, it expanded the series roster with new characters such as Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Hwoarang and the boss Ogre.
The game refined Tekken's four-button, limb-based combat while adding sidestepping that gave battles genuine three-dimensional movement, along with faster recovery and more fluid juggle combos. The home version was praised as an almost arcade-perfect conversion and packed with extras, including the side-scrolling beat 'em up Tekken Force mode, the addictive Tekken Ball, and a large collection of unlockable characters and endings.
A cornerstone of the fighting genre, Tekken 3 remains influential and beloved. It has since been made available again through digital re-releases and retro collections, letting new players experience a game that helped define home console fighting.
